Lithomancy is a form of divination using crystals, gems or stones, and is sometimes referred to as 'reading stones' and/or 'divination by stone.' "Lithos" is the Greek word for stone, and "mancy" is the Greek suffix for "divination, prophecy, and to interpret signs so practical decisions can be made."There are many different forms of Lithomancy. Some make use of colors, others of the star signs, and others use only stones of two colors to give a yes or no answer. In the traditional method 13 stones are used. Seven stones represent the ancient astrological signs: the Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Jupiter and Saturn. The remaining six stones represent the home, life, love, health, luck, magic, and news.
